Bill Kelleher, Chairman, IBM UK and Ireland

Bill Kelleher is Chairman of IBM in the UK and Ireland (UKI), a position taken after twenty five years’ leadership experience in the IT industry.

 

Bill is a respected and well-liked leader who has held a number of executive and leadership roles across the United Kingdom, Europe and Globally. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive, IBM in the UK and Ireland (UKI), a role he was appointed into in May 2017, where he was responsible for business operations, driving revenue growth, client satisfaction, and employee engagement at a country level.

 

Bill has also operated in market facing roles which have previously included strategic client leadership, Vice President - European Communications Sector, Vice President - Small and Medium Business Sector and multiple Vice President and General Manager roles across IBM's Global Services businesses. For example, Bill was IBM's Global Managing Director for the Telecom, Media & Entertainment Industry. Through his position he held end-to-end responsibility for the company’s business and relationships with IBM's telecommunications, media and entertainment clients around the world.

 

Bill is a serving member of the IBM Chairman’s global Growth and Transformation Team and Performance Team which is responsible for shaping and developing IBM’s corporate strategy and performance. Additionally, within the UKI, he established the Client Experience and Employee Engagement Teams within IBM in the UK and Ireland, which are responsible for maintaining high levels of client and employee satisfaction, whilst continuing to champion inclusion in the broadest sense.

 

Externally, Bill is an active member of the UK Digital Economy Council, the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) President’s Committee, BritishAmerican Business (BAB), the Whitehall and Industry Group (WIG UK) and the Wall Street Journal CEO Council.
